Research has shown previous injury is a huge predictor for new injury, particularly for dancers and athletes. If an injury does not receive proper care, the body will often take longer to heal and have a higher probability of re-injury. Essentially, the body heals with time but in an inefficient manner which can result in collagen adhesions (scar tissue), decreased mobility, atrophy (weakness) and loss of proprioception (joint stability). Athletic trainers are trained to intervene throughout the healing process to guide each stage of healing for both acute injuries (immediate) and chronic injuries (long term). It’s important to seek care for minor and major injuries to best assist the body’s natural healing process for optimal function and performance.

Initial Injury Evaluation & Treatment
90 Minutes
$100 (plus tax)
1-on-1 injury evaluation and rehabilitation session. Techniques are focused on evaluation and eliminating pain or injury using therapeutic exercise, manual therapy, modalities and other athletic training techniques as needed. Our model allows us to provide 1-on-1 care that is focused entirely on you. We emphasize a quality-over-quantity approach to patient care, that is, one that often requires fewer total visits and allows you to get better, faster, stronger all in a timelier fashion.
Follow-Up Injury Recovery Session
1 Hour
$75 (plus tax)
60 minutes of 1-on-1 time which includes manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, modalities, etc. Since the goal at The Barre and Beyond is to help you recover as quickly as possible, sessions are purchased individually and no packages for injury recovery are bundled. Patients are given a home exercise program to complete between sessions to help facilitate a speedy and complete recovery.
